The Office of Government Commerce (OGC) is an autonomous office of the Treasury, and works with public sector organisations in order to help them get the best value for money when placing contracts up for tender. The Office of Government Commerce supports initiatives for:

The Office of Government Commerce represents Britain in the EU and seeks to aid public sector organisations apply European rules of procurement at home.

SOPO

SOPO (the Society of Procurement Officers) offers advice to local authorities throughout the UK on procurement services, encouraging local authorities to make government contracts available for tender.
